Innovation Precinct Commences Construction

Innovation Precinct
Construction has commenced at Brisbane Technology Park’s new Innovation Precinct, which was officially marked by a turning of the soil event on Monday 3rd August.

The event was attended by local Member for Stretton, Duncan Pegg, and QLD Treasurer and Minister for Employment and Industrial Relations, Curtis Pitt. The event coincided with a community cabinet meeting which was being held at the BTP Conference Centre adjacent to the construction site.

The Innovation Precinct, which fronts both Miles Platting Road and Logan Road, signals the start of a new era for Brisbane Technology Park. Works are currently taking place on the site once occupied by Queensland’s first super computer. Now, almost thirty years on, it is expected that the Innovation Precinct will continue attracting technology businesses to Queensland’s premier business park.

The first building, a prominent office and technical facility located at 2/4 Clunies Ross Court, will comprise 4,425m2 of premium commercial office space over three levels and is scheduled for completion in July 2016. The Innovation Precinct will encompass a hotel, a four level parking station and five new office buildings with commercial office, technical, laboratory and retail space.

The Innovation Precinct is a joint venture of commercial property developers Alceon Group and Graystone.
