Life Sciences Futures Showcase Hit With Business Leaders

LSQ Business leaders from various industries descended on the Brisbane Technology Park BTP Conference Centre on May 22nd to attend the long-awaited 2015 Life Sciences Futures Showcase.

The Life Sciences Queensland Limited (LSQ) event was proudly sponsored by BTP Graystone and stretched across the entire day, with four panels held on Innovation Futures, Health Innovation, Advanced Manufacturing and Agricultural Innovation.

Numerous high-level industry panelists discussed and outlined how their work is contributing to Queensland’s future economic and social development, which helped show attendees what was in store for the life sciences industry.

“I found the event highly topical and the speakers were both interesting and informative. There was plenty of networking going on and a great atmosphere of promise and hope amongst the business representatives that attended,” BTP Services Development Manager, Sophie Betts said.

The event attracted strong bipartisan support, with several MPs in attendance including the Hon. Leeanne Enoch, Minister for Science and Innovation, local MP Duncan Pegg, Shadow Minister for Health Mark McArdle and Shadow Minister for Science, IT and Innovation, Dr John McVeigh.

Currently, LSQ is making preparations for its next big event, the LSQ Gala on August 15th, which will celebrate the Life Sciences industry and people in it.
