RedEye has plenty to celebrate as they reflect on the amazing success and growth they have experienced over the last 12 months. This BTP Westlink Green occupant won two category awards (Best Early Stage Company and Amazon Web Services Award) at Tech23, an annual event showcasing Australia’s most innovative tech companies.
RedEye Apps CEO, Wayne Gerard was allocated five minutes to present the company’s business model to a panel of industry leaders and an audience of over 400 potential investors, partners and customers.
“The opportunity to be part of such a reputable event was great for RedEye, we had the chance to meet amazing leaders, share our story and growth plan with the public and gain exposure in different markets,” Marketing Lead, Veronica Pires said.
The tech company was also featured in the international tech blog, Geektime as one of the Top 20 Austalian Startups based on their funding profile, number of users, market growth potential, level of innovation and leadership.
“It means a lot for RedEye and the team to have been given this exposure and to be recognised by such a reputable organisation alongside such respectable startups,” Ms. Pires said.
The company has also been busy helping fellow startups, joining another BTP occupant, QMI Solutions last year in an interactive online webinar, to assist professionals in taking the next steps after that big business idea. CEO Wayne Gerard is an active entrepreneur and key player in the Brisbane Startup community. With the help of the Brisbane City Council, Wayne has created StartupBris, a hub that aims at helping local startups with VCs, investors and service providers’ information, local jobs and events.
There’s no doubt that the future is bright for this startup.“RedEye is going through a significant growth boom at the moment. We have expanded internationally, opening our first office in Houston in July and secured major clients and investors throughout the year. Our move to the BTP Westlink Green hub has also played a very important role in our development. When we first re-located to BTP in July we had six staff, now we are at twelve and will be 20 by early February. Having the ability to expand our offices within the precinct is crucial for our business, our team and our culture,” Ms. Pires said.
