The company made the move to their newest suburban business park, BTP Westlink Green on December 9th, taking occupancy of 2 Westlink Court after residing at their Park Road premises in Milton for 28 years.
Peter Robbie one of the founding directors of the Graystone Group said, “Our relocation from Park Road signifies the end of an era. When we started Graystone 30 years ago the street was mostly residential buildings with old boarding houses and student accommodation. It took Graystone more than two years to secure rezoning approval from Brisbane City Council in the 1980s, to build our office. It’s interesting that Milton as a commercial area, peaked some years ago and now is rapidly reverting to residential with new accommodation towers that will ultimately occupy most sites in Milton.”
Mr. Robbie explained that there were a number of factors that lessen the appeal of fringe and CBD locations like Graystone’s old Milton address, the most obvious being peak hour traffic and the limited and extremely high cost of parking.
“The Graystone team is extremely excited about the move to BTP Westlink Green. We are all looking forward to beating the traffic and occupying a new generation and standard of office space,“ Mr. Robbie said.
Much of the master planned business community’s popularity is attributed to its outstanding connectivity. With ease of access to the Centenary Highway and Ipswich Motorway, a short 20 minute drive to the CBD, and the Darra train station just across the road, businesses are flocking to the precinct.
The precinct is one of three Business and Technology Precincts under development by the Graystone Group, most notable of these being Brisbane Technology Park in Eight Mile Plains.
