Top 5 Things to Assess in a Cyber Security Audit – Email Security

On Wednesday 15 April, The Suites by Graystone Westlink Green (Darra) precinct hosted its first Lunchtime Learning Networking Series for 2026. The session featured keynote presenters, Sam Wettig and Daniel Bomm from alltasksIT who occupy a tenancy at 1 Westlink Court. Sam and Daniel highlighted the importance of email security and shared best practices to help safeguard digital communications against evolving threats.

Globally more than 333 billion emails are sent and received daily, with employees receiving an average of 120 emails per day. This creates prime opportunities for cybercriminals to use phishing, malware, and business email compromise to steal sensitive and valuable information. The consequences can be severe, often resulting in financial losses and reputational damage.

The networking event was highly informative. The feedback received from the tenants who attended were positive. One aspect that was particularly surprising for everyone to learn was the best practice to set a strong password and what constituted to be a strong password.
